Today we shall be engaging in prayer for the nation of Liberia. Liberia is located in the western part of Africa. Liberia is one of the countries in Africa with high rate of violent attacks. From the bloody coup led by Samuel Doe in 1980, which brought the invention of an authoritarian system of system on the Liberians, to the rebellion coup led by Charles Taylor to over throw the government of Samuel Doe in 1989. Charles Taylor’s rebellion act led to a bloody civil war in Liberia that lasted for a while. Samuel Doe died in the civil war yet peace wasn’t attained until 1997 when a peace accord treaty was signed and election was staged which brought Charles Taylor into office as the President of Liberia.

Father we sometimes don’t understand how an 80% Christian nation can allow atrocities to take place like they did in the civil war in the 1990’s. Therefore we pray, Lord, that you will cement in the people’s hearts an authentic Christian foundation which they will start to live out. Father we pray that You will raise up spiritual leaders in Rwanda and that You will help those who have fled the country during the violence, to return. Lord, we praise you for Liberia, which is one of few countries where Muslims can be openly reached with the Gospel and are responsive when they see it demonstrated. We pray for spiritually mature leaders in the churches who will preach the Bible with integrity. Father, we pray for restoration for Liberia’s children — 50% of the population — who struggle to overcome the devastation of war. We pray for healing from terrible pain caused by two civil wars and the rebuilding that must occur in this impoverished nation. We pray that you will raise up Liberians and other Africans to take up the task of evangelising and mission. Lord Jesus, we pray that You will bring an end to widely held tribal spiritist traditions among Christians in Cameroon. Father, let Your light shine as to overcome all darkness, deception and syncretism. We ask that You will establish a moral government system that will provide for clean water, food, and health needs of the people. Father, we also pray for a gentle transfer of spiritual leadership from Western organizations to national believers. Father, we want to pray for the nation of Botswana. We pray for mature beliefs free from tribal or animistic thinking. Lord, we ask that You will establish more Biblical training for indigenous Church leaders so that the full Gospel of Jesus Christ can be preached in all the churches, without being mixed with animistic beliefs. Please help congregations to work together, Lord. We also pray that the youth will choose abstinence to cleanse their nation of HIV/AIDS. Father, we ask that You will show Yourself as a Dad to more than 100,000 AIDS orphans in Botswana. We pray, Lord, that people will make use of services providing ARV’s in order to prolong their lives. Father, will You please bring an end to the stigma toward HIV/AIDS sufferers.

PRAY FOR UGANDA 🇺🇬 We Pray...

Lord, we want to pray for Uganda. First of all we pray for restoration, peace and healing after years of war and conflict. We pray for the 800,000 displaced people who are forced to live in camps amid difficult conditions. We also pray for peaceful resettlement of these people in the north of Uganda.

We pray for the dissolution of the LRA. Lord, we ask You to demonstrate Your sovereignty in this desperate situation. Father, we pray for the tens of thousands of children, fearing abduction, walking every night from their villages to the safety of larger towns. We ask, Lord, that You will preserve and protect the innocent and that You will teach them Your ways.

We also pray for the reintegration of former child soldiers into their families and communities.
